40 Words: An Overheard Confession

"I want to be Andy Dufresne."  J.D. Walt

I don't get Jesus,
so I don't
understand weakness;
I want
and lack power.

I don't get suffering,
so I don't
understand love;
pushing pain
away.

I don't get death,
so I don't
understand resurrection;
too many I's
still breathing.

those first few lines of the sermon were so power packed for me, had to write them down. then I thought to myself: self, that's almost 40 words--draft it! But honestly, these words are JD's... I should correct this on the posting:
