A sketching I found from 2001... clicking on the image will pop-up a larger version
This image was inspired from a photo in one of my sociology books. The photo was just too good to forget about.
What does this image say about the Grace God Gives?

...but then I forgot to talk about God's grace. Ooops...well, God's grace sends us to overcome injustices, unveil the shrouded, and welcome them into the light of Christ's life.
Does that mean that your initial thought was that it was a monkey? That's what I thought until I looked harder and thought about the oppression of women in today's society and the darkness in which they are often forced to resign to in order to heal from the wounds inflicted by masochism and gender inequality. Evil has a name...it's name is injustice.
i had the instant reaction of hear no evil-- see no evil-- touch no evil--
yet it quickly morphed into see no grace-- hear no grace-- touch no grace-- have no fun. the picture says grace is too good to be true-- beyond belief-- i can't bear to open my eyes to see what's really real. that's salvation.
We're working on a great description of what this site is and what we hope it can become. For now, we will simply claim that we're a community of writers and readers, believers and skeptics who are wrestling with life and faith through the medium of poetry. All students, faculty, alumni, and friends of ATS are welcomed to join the conversation.
