Ash Wednesday is upon us. A day of sounding the alarm. A divine wake-up call. A day characterized by curious rituals. A sobering reminder of our mortality and yet a hopeful invitation to "Repent and Believe the Gospel." Below is the first of a series of short encouragements for our journey together.
As we move forward into these days of fasting, let us feast in a constant way on this watch-word from Scripture. Write it on a card and carry it with you, stealing away moments to invite the Spirit to emblazon this declaration on your heart and mind.
"I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death," (Philippians 3:10)
Jd Walt,
You should have pulled it; I would have pulled it, but you already knew that! Pull the alarm, bro, pull the alarm!
